Pronouns

Pronouns adalah kata ganti atau pronomina yang berfungsi menggantikan kedudukan kata benda (nouns) atau kata ganti lainnya untuk menghindari pengulangan yang tidak perlu.

Perhatikan contoh kalimat berikut di bawah ini.

- John rides John’s new motorcycle to school.

Pada kalimat di atas terjadi pengulangan kata John. Dengan menggunakan kata ganti yang tepat, kalimat di atas akan lebih mudah dimengerti seperti pada kalimat berikut.

- John rides his new motorcycle to school.

Kata ganti his pada contoh di atas menjadikan kalimat lebih enak dibaca dan tidak terjadi pengulangan kata John.

Beberapa jenis kata ganti yang perlu dipelajari adalah personal pronouns, possessive pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, interrogative pronouns, relative pronouns, reflexive pronouns, intensive pronouns, indefinite pronouns, dan reciprocal pronouns.

Judul        : Rancang Bangun Robot Pembawa Buku Pada Perpustakaan

   Abstrak

Robot pembawa buku pada perpustakaan adalah suatu robot yang mampu membawa buku secara otomatis ke rak buku berdasarkan informasi yang di masukkan oleh pustakawan. Tujuannya adalah membantu pustakawan dalam mengelompokkan buku pada rak buku yang telah dibaca oleh pengunjung berdasarkan bidang ilmu sehingga dapat meminimalisa ketidakefektifan dan ketidakefisienan waktu dan tenaga dalam menata ulang buku ke rak secara manual. Secara keseluruhan komponen yang digunakkan pada robot, terdiri atas sistem sensor shaft encoder, sistem sensor lantai, sistem sensor jarak, sistem mikrokontroler AVR ATMega16, sistem komparator, sistem driver motor dc, dan suatu sistem compass. Sensor shaft encoder menggunakan sensor inframerah yang berfungsi untuk menghitung jumlah putaran pada roda dengan cara membaca piringan shaft encoder, sensor lantai berfungsi untuk mendeteksi lantai home (posisi awal robot) berwarna hitam, sensor jarak pada robot menggunakan sensor ultrasonic berfungsi untuk mengetahui jarak antara robot dengan objek disekitarnya, mikrokontroller AVR ATMega16 berfungsi sebagai pengendali gerak robot, komparator berfungsi sebagai sistem pembanding antara tegangan sensor dan tegangan referensi, driver berfungsi sebagai sistem yang menjembatani antara mikrokontroller AVR ATMega16 dengan penggerak roda yang berupa motor DC. Sensor kompas berfungsi untuk mengatur navigasi robot, agar robot berjalan sesuai arah yang telah di tetapkan.

This is the required report of where I’m at in my research project about what restaurants my classmates prefer. I’m about where I expected myself to be at this time and should be finished well before the deadline.

First I put together the survey I would distribute. I chose a set of restaurants to include in the survey; most of them were local restaurants, though I chose some that can only be found in a bigger city.

Next I decided how I would choose my sample. I put all middle school students’ names in a bowl and drew randomly from them.

I then distributed my survey to the students whose names I had drawn and asked them to rank their three favorite restaurants from among those listed.

After collecting the completed surveys, I compiled the results.

I am going to study those results next and compare them to the predictions I made before doing the study. Then I will write my conclusion and proofread my work so it will be ready to turn in
